But we don't get events like this in Victoria. I grew up in Vic since I was eight, and never experienced "Build, Bail and Sails" or pancake breakfasts, or fishing with my dad... or feeling good about myse...
The pancake breakfast was amazing. Thank you Rotarians!

To kick off day one of Nautical Days, Brianna Little sang O'Canada. Brianna is this years Comox Valley Idol.

Here is a shot from the harbor, with Comox's prized glacier.

Porch's Take Out on Comox Road showed up for the event like they do at every event. I usually indulge with them. They seem to be the burger business I gravitate towards when I go to locally catered events.

The Build Bail and Sail was insane.
Here they are, crafting their boats.

I thought nothing of this. yeah, they're going to build some bad boats and sink into the ocean.

Look at how many people showed up to watch. Probably 1,000 people, at least, lined the marina shore.

There were more people on the other side.

Heres what we all witnessed.
Classic cars, if cars are your thing.

Two parking lots full of classic cars. It was one of the largest classic car shows on Vancouver Island.

Beautiful car!

I did a bit of sticker spotting that weekend as well. Gave people a chance to win a home theater system courtesy of Visual Sound Store outside of Rose's Burger Bus. The sticker bandit hit me hard!

After everything was done, I drove back to life in Campbell River.
